  • One 12-ounce package
Imported from a family-run beekeeping operation in New Zealand, Frieda's Honeycomb is filled with sweet, rich golden-brown honey. The delicate waxy comb structures break easily when chewed or cut. Each 12-ounce block of of Frieda's pure, natural honeycomb is encased in a light wooden frame and wrapped in a cellophane wrapper. Eating honey directly from the beeswax comb dates back to prehistoric times. The entire honeycomb can be eaten but is considered robbing the bees. When the bees fill the comb with honey, they seal it off with wax. To eat raw, cut off bite-size pieces and chew, discarding the wax. To use just the honey, cut away portions and drain the honey from the comb to use on toast, in tea, and in recipes. Store at room temperature for up to 6 months. Do not store in heat above 75 degrees.
