Mieli Thun all natural Italian Chestnut Honey - Castagno-8.8 ozs. Feature

  • Chestnut Honey - Origin: Novaledo, Borgo Valsugana (TN)
  • During peak blooming season, new frames are place into the beehives to obtain pure nectar that is less polluted by different nectars.
  • This process produces a pure honey with the characteristics and integrity of the flower from which the bees pollinate.
  • All Mieli Thun honeys are from Quintessenza - a kind of "Cru", that is obtained just from the heart of the blossom.
  • Produced between the end of June and the first half of July from wild mountain chestnut flowers, this honey is extraordinarily versatile and is the richest in minerals. Amber coloured, sometimes dark-amber with reddish hues. It has an aromatic, herbal and pungent aroma and flavour with a slightly bitter and tannic aftertaste.
Andrea Paternoster's grandfather created a successful small business out of what for him previously had represented a passion: bee keeping. Since 1921 the family has been dedicated to preserving the traditional art of bee keeping and honey production. The result of their efforts is spectacular mono-floral origin honey that is all natural, pure, and perfect. Mr. Paternoster is a nomadic beekeeper, who travels all over Italy, finding the purest pollens. He is globally recognized as a master beekeeper and producer of honey. Mieli Thun honey is a rare monofloral masterpiece that represents the harmony between bees and mankind.
